Guide
How to choose a fragrance for your property
Scent is the most memorable part of a bathroom, and the hardest to get right. A simple process makes the decision easier.
Start with the guest, not the scent
Describe who stays or visits and what you want them to feel: awake, calm, welcomed, refreshed. Those words guide the fragrance direction better than any scent name.
Choose a family before a recipe
Most scents sit in a few families: citrus, floral, woody, musky, green and herbal, amber and spice. Pick one or two families that fit your brand, then compare variations inside them.
Test it where it will be used
A scent on a card smells different in a warm, humid bathroom. Sample in the real space, at the real temperature, and let it sit for a day.
Check it with more than one person
Ask staff and a few trusted guests. Avoid anything divisive, and avoid overly heavy scents in small rooms.
Plan for consistency
Once you choose, keep the same scent across every product and every site, so guests recognise it every time.
