How to run an amenity sampling session with your team
A sampling session turns opinions into a decision. A little structure makes it fair and quick.
Prepare the samples
Label each sample with a code, not a name. Provide fragrance, texture and packaging samples side by side.
Choose the right people
Include operations, housekeeping, a guest-facing manager and someone from marketing or brand.
Score the basics
Rate fragrance, feel, packaging and ease of use. Keep a simple one-to-five score for each.
Use the products, not just a sniff
Wash hands, lather the shower gel and apply the lotion. Performance matters as much as scent.
Decide and document
Pick a winner, note the reasons, and share the outcome with your supplier so the brief is clear.
