Refill economics: working out cost per room
Refills are usually chosen to reduce waste and handling. Whether they save money depends on how you count the costs.
What to count
Product, packaging, housekeeping time, storage space and waste disposal. Looking at product cost alone misses most of the difference.
Estimate use per room
Use your occupancy and the amount used per stay to estimate litres per month. This tells you whether 1 litre or 5 litre packs suit each site.
Plan the routine
Agree who refills, how often and where refills are stored. A simple, repeatable routine matters more than the pack size.
Ask for a quote
Send us your rooms and occupancy. We can propose a refill size and a restocking rhythm.
