Guide
How many amenities does a hotel need? A planning guide
Over-ordering ties up money and space. Under-ordering means empty bathrooms. A simple calculation keeps both in check.
Start from guest-nights
Multiply your rooms by expected occupancy and nights in the period you are planning for. That gives you guest-nights.
Estimate use per guest-night
Count how many units a guest typically uses per night for each product. Start with a conservative estimate and refine it after a month of real data.
Add a buffer
Add a safety buffer for peak periods and breakages, and keep a small reserve for restocking delays.
Decide the format
Bottles are easy to count. Dispensers need a refill plan. Many properties use both, with a different calculation for each.
Review every quarter
Compare what you ordered with what you used, and adjust. Good data makes every future order cheaper.
